“Mom, please calm down. What happened?”
“I asked Judith to wash my clothes by hand, and her mother told her not to.”
“But Mom, why by hand when there is a washing machine?”
“And so what? Don’t you know that a machine doesn’t wash clothes properly? I want her to wash them for me immediately.”
“Mom, bring the clothes. I’ll take them to the dry cleaner.”
“I don’t want you to take them anywhere. She must wash them. What is her job in this house? Ever since her mother came, she has relaxed as if she owns the house.”
“Mom, please don’t drag this any further. I don’t want any issues with her mother. Just bring the clothes. Let me handle it.”
“Henry, Henry, I don’t like all this. You’re pampering that girl too much.”
“Where are you going this early in the morning?”
“Mama, good morning. My mother and I are going out for some beauty treatment.”
“Are you joking or are you serious? Who is going to cook breakfast? Do you want to leave the house without making breakfast for this family?”
“And that is why you are here. Since you have refused to leave your son’s house and you love him so much, go ahead and prepare breakfast for yourself and your son.”
“This is her husband’s house, and she is not being a responsible wife. Your husband hasn’t eaten, and you want to leave the house?”
“Yes, this is her husband’s house. If it were only her and her husband, she would have no problem cooking for him. But since you are here and have come to teach her how to be a good wife, why don’t you lead by example? Go ahead and cook for your son, since you seem so eager to join their marriage as a second wife.”

“Mom, I loved how you handled that situation. Trust me, very soon she will be the one to pack her bags and leave. Why doesn’t she want to go to her husband’s house? Or is he driving her away from there?”
“I really don’t know. She is just too attached to Henry, and I’ve spoken to him several times about it. He’s afraid to stand up to her. We have to come up with a plan to set things right.”
“Who does she think she is? So now it is a crime to send my daughter-in-law on errands? She wants to fight me in my son’s house. My son must hear about this.”
“Henry, can you imagine? Your wife and her mother left the house this morning, and your wife didn’t prepare breakfast before leaving.”
“Mom, I’m aware. I’ll order something for us to eat.”
“Order breakfast? Are you hearing yourself? When I married your father, I made sure I woke up very early every day to cook fresh food for him.
